I have been looking for some grey ankle boots to wear with skinnny jeans and dresses and I think I quite like these
www.clarks.co.uk/p/20355418
but what do you think? If not, have you seen anything else that might tempt me?

I like them but I fear that the wooden heel might look a bit cheap in real life. I found that with another pair of Clarks boots that I saw online and then was disappointed when I saw them in the shop. If you buying them, there is a 20% off code knocking around!

JazzAnnNonMouse · 16/10/2013 16:14

I like them Smile

chardom · 16/10/2013 16:20

I might like them even more with 20% off!

Code is BDAY for purchases over £60. Ends 21st October here.

dexter73 · 16/10/2013 16:24

I like them too by the way!

NigellasGuest · 16/10/2013 16:36

nothing like the ones you're talking about but I adore these!!! www.clarks.co.uk/p/20357147

I'm very tempted by these...
chardom · 16/10/2013 17:05

Any colour apart from black! Those boots are gorgeous, steppedonafrog! Where are they from???

OP posts:
SteppedOnaFrog · 16/10/2013 17:49

Clarks!!!

SteppedOnaFrog · 16/10/2013 17:50

Sorry should have said - Mojita Sorbet ones x

SundaySimmons · 16/10/2013 18:31

I have the mojita sorbet in the tan and the black. Very comfortable and they look great on.

I have to say that I would never have looked for boots in Clarks as I thought they would be horrible granny boots but I have been impressed in the last few months and have bought a few pairs using the 20% off each time making the inexpensive.

IDismyname · 16/10/2013 18:35

I'm just wearing this pair in while I MN....

Clarks Boots

I don't care if you lot think they're mumsy - I'm loving 'em!

chardom · 16/10/2013 18:51

Thanks for the info! I'm off to investigate them on the Clarks website now. Who knew Clarks sold such fab boots!!!

indyandlara · 16/10/2013 19:27

I bought those exact ones in 2011 Blue2 and they're still going strong!

MollyRoses · 16/10/2013 20:43

I like the original ones you posted - I think the grey effect is really nice

Mumelie · 16/10/2013 21:00

Ah! I ordered and returned those very boots in grey - they turned out to be big clumpy heavy disco boots! That pewter is shiny/sparkle - maybe your thing but much too much for daytime for me!

BecauseYoureGorgeous · 16/10/2013 21:02

They're ok. Nothing special.

GypsyFloss · 16/10/2013 21:57

chardom I ordered and returned the grey boots from your op.
They are very clumpy and almost squareish .

I reckon I've had all of Clarks ankle boots delivered in the past 3 months and have only kept the now ubiquitous biker boot. I'm still on the hunt for a tan or grey ankle boot with a medium heel, like their Langdon place but in a less naff colour than their current offering of blue.

chardom · 16/10/2013 22:17

Have ordered them before coming back on here ?? so its probably a good thing Clarks have free returns if they're clumpy + glittery!

OP posts:
chardom · 20/10/2013 10:19

These boots arrived yesterday + were parcelled up and returned an hour later! Very clumpy, made my feet look huge, but the worst was the glitter effect, perhaps they might have passed muster on a roller-disco but anywhere else, absolutely not!

OP posts:
pictish · 20/10/2013 10:22

I saw those in the shop, and have to say I think you're exaggerating about the glitter. They're very subtle.

chardom · 20/10/2013 11:06

Obviously pictish you have your opinion and I have mine!
