I need some advise please.

I have very dark brown hair, but beginning to grey!!

Can anyone recommend a semi-permanent hair colour for dark brown hair that does not give any redness to the hair.

I am a novice a this, and want to try and get a good result!

Thanks.

Are you after a true semi-permanent or a demi-permanent?

I think most dyes sold as "semi-permanent" are actually demis as they have developer. True semis don't have developer, they just come in one bottle/pot and go straight onto your hair with no pre-mixing.

If you want a true semi then Adore do a range of natural colours amongst the bright ones and I've heard very good things about them.

If you don't want any redness at all you need to go for an ash brown colour. Clairol nice and easy medium ash brown is a semi which lasts around a month - beware though it can be very dark, so if you are unsure of how dark you want it to be try the light ash brown colour first.

Thanks.. dont mind very dark as natural colour nearly black.

Anyone else any recommendations?

Nice n Easy in shade No. 120

I have darkest brown hair with shocking grey at roots. It's the only dye I've found that matches my colour and doesn't have reddish tones. I do leave it on a lot longer than the instructions say to get the desired effect though.

In between full dyes I use their root touch up in darkest brown.
