what's good in matalan....?

I need to go to b&q and I need to improve my wardrobe as post dd2 nothing fits. matalan is nearby... is it worth a look?

in short I need jeans, bf tops, dresses and skirts. also a nice pair of winter boots but I'm not expecting them to be found in matalan.

shall I bother go?

I was going to say that homeware iss good, and they sometimes have nice baby things.

I wouldn't bother for the kind of thing you're looking for, but I may be wrong.

I find their cardies really good, but again, perhaps not what you are looking for. But tops in general are not bad!

The shape wear underwear is better than expensive ones I've tried

Matalan is good for basics.Crew neck long sleeved T's in modal/cotton,Henley T's in tunic and normal(with lace inserts),zip front leggings,jersey tube skirts and nightwear.Teenage DD likes some of the falmer range especially the jumpers/cardigans.

I have this Falmer blouse in the navy and it's gorgeous. Looks really good with skinnies or leather look trousers.

I really like the Falmer clothes and the jeans fit me like a glove. Also use Matalan for basics and cardi' s etc.

Kids clothes are usually awful but just bought them some coats from there which are great!

Gorgeous leather biker boots for 50!

The vests with spaghetti straps are great for breastfeeding, nice & long as well.

Are those bikers knee length or just under?

I never find much in Matalan. It is no longer 'cheap' . There is a lot of acrylic mix fabrics and you will struggle to find leather shoes.
If you are on a budget the supermarkets are a better bet these days imo.

Agree that Matalan is good for basics such as longline vests etc. I used to pick up some good finds in there (lovely grey wool cardi, tweed jacket) but it had changed and has fewer natural fabrics.
