Cellulite and stretch marks quick fix remedies.....do they exist?

Hey

Going away at the weekend to Spain for a week. For the first time yesterday, I did the dreaded 360 degree angle of myself in my new bikini Shock why oh why did I do that?

Anyway, I was really happy to actually look ok in a bikini for the first time in about 10 years. I hadn't really thought about stretch marks or cellulite because I've never had it before. It's all at the top of my legs and it looks bloody awful and I would imagine it's going to look even worse in the harsh sunlight.

I know there aren't really any miracle cures out there and certainly nothing that's going to work by Saturday Grin but I bought some St.Tropez bronzing mousse, because I'm ghostly white, especially on my legs. Was hoping that that might help disguise the stretch marks a little..........or does it make it worse Confused

So, has anyone got any quick fix disguises, more than remedies I suppose, for stretch marks, cellulite, or both?

Thanks ladies

no. There's no such thing. Those who say that 'xxx' cream worked miracles for their stretch marks would have found that they vanished anyway. They do with some people.

actually there is not really any such thing as cellulite, outside the beauty-babble it is just known as 'normal skin texture'.

slap on the oompa-loompa cream if it makes you feel better, but remember it does tend to look very obvious, more so than normal skin, and that you also need suncream.

or just enjoy your holiday. No-one is looking!

No.

Looking darker will help you look more streamlined. So if a fake tan is an option, that might help.

I have the same dilemma Grin. Off to Florida and am psyching myself up for my bikini. I still have 3 weeks though, so I'm hoping that exercise might still shave a bit off/firm some bits up. Or gastric flu. A well-timed dose of that is supposed to work wonders

Water. Body brushing. Light jogging.

special, wish I could just adopt that approach and stop worrying. Will try Smile

Eliza, I've been trying to drink more water, I was considering body brushing, but then a friend told me it was a waste of time Hmm

Body brushing is BRILLIANT

Not 'quick', but a few years ago I had to go on a strict diet for health reasons- no sugar, no yeast, (almost) no dairy. It was hell, but to my surprise, several months later, I noticed my cellulite which had been in permanent residence since I was about fifteen had almost disappeared.

Needless to say, I got better, dropped the diet, the cellulite came back, and all is as normal now. The main thing is I think it made me realise that some things chocolate are more important than a more appealing beach body Grin

OhBaby, really? How long have you been doing it? What brush do you use? Do tell! It's urgent Grin

Super, I think if I'm being honest, over the past 10 years, I've knocked back a few vinos too many, so I'm sure that's got something to do with it. Well I don't think I'll be changing that habit on holidayWink, let's be honest! I think I'll be detoxing when I get back though.

I have a boots one, its quite painful to start with but basically swish all over before your shower (plenty of guides online as well). After shower i used a simple baby oil. Got rid of of chicken skin arms within a fortnight, and bum/thighs looked soooo much better. Drink plenty of water too as this will help flush out toxins

FreeButtonBee · 15/10/2013 14:09

I can recommend breastfeeding twins for cellulite removal but that might be an extreme option. My thighs have never been so skinny!

Sadly the stretch marks on my tummy were the cost. I don't think theybare going anywhere...

Thanks OhBaby

Free, well that was a very happy side effect Smile The skinny thighs, not the stretch marks.
