Size 10 top (32g), 12 bottom
5'6, brunette, medium skin tone.

Trying to overhaul wardrobe. Have bought some nice pieces but would really like some suggestions.

Depends on your style. H and M is very hit and miss. I mostly go there for basics. Their jumpers, cardigans and vest tops especially. Their sizing irritates me no end. For example you say you're a size 12 bottom, but I bet if you bought trousers in H and M they'd be a 16. However the basics seem to be sized better. I've also recently discoverd their sports wear and have got a couple of nice tops for running too.

littlemissnormal · 13/10/2013 14:29

Yes totally agree about the basics - their vests and cardis are great.

I have lots of their blazers which I wear casually at the weekend or smartened up for work.

And in the winter I live in their jumper dresses with long boots!

ElizabethBathory · 13/10/2013 14:40

I 3rd their basics. Their vests are great and last years, nice and long too, often with adjustable straps. Also have some very nice slouchy, rolled sleeve t shirts from this summer.

Everything else is very hit and miss. Their knitwear is often tempting but can look rubbish really quickly. My friend has some of their heavy cotton skinny trousers that look great.

MissDD1971 · 13/10/2013 15:13

Right now I'm pissed off with them.

their stock REALLY varies from store to store. My Wimbledon work one always has CARP yet when I went past Brixton one (closed) on Friday night it had lots of wants.

some of their stuff in Wimbledon I swear they just rotate it round and round the store and don't do much with new stock.

MissDD1971 · 13/10/2013 15:14

They had some lovely bits - striped jumpers, a tube skirt (striped) etc - all in front area of Brixton store.

worth a try on.

noddyholder · 13/10/2013 15:17

I bought a maxi skirt plum colour really lovely on great fit and shape but haven't had anywhere to wear it yet! And £13 iirc

MissDD1971 · 13/10/2013 15:23

god what part of the store was that in noddy? smart? not smart.....

noddyholder · 13/10/2013 16:49

Not smart think it comes in a few colours black dark blue and green has pockets in side Is jersey will try and link Also got a top to go with it which is lovely

GobblersKnob · 13/10/2013 16:55

The jersey maxi skirts are lovely, and they still have them for the winter. They are a bitch to wash though.

noddyholder · 13/10/2013 16:56

this The top to go with it is grey 3/4 sleeve jersey 6.99 but can't see on web

bluebump · 13/10/2013 17:57

I like the vests from the basics range too. I also love the stretchy short skirts they do, I have them in most colours now, I think they are about £4 each.

ThisIsMeNow · 13/10/2013 18:40

Noddy, where does it come down to? Ankle? Floor? Obv I know it'll depend on height too.
Gobblers why are they hard to wash?

OP posts:
noddyholder · 13/10/2013 19:13

I am 5'5 and its floor length

MissDD1971 · 13/10/2013 20:45

These wool blazers are really nice on:

I bought these pleather trousers the other day. They look way better on with a long chunky knit and suede ankle boots:
