supermarket cashmere

Do you think it would last the winter? I passed a cashmere v neck in tesco last night and I wondered how they stand up to washing etc. I still have a bit of weight to lose to get back to my normal size (15 week old baby) so I don't want to fork out on an expensive jumper that hopefully won't fit for too long.
Has anyone bought from a supermarket before? Was also looking at uniqlo, but that is slightly more expensive.

I bought a Tesco camel cashmere jersey last year (50% off) I paid £20.

"It's a Classic" I told myself.

I haven't worn it yet Blush

I bought a grey longline cashmere cardigan from Tesco about 6 years ago and is still as good as new. Washes great and no bobbling at all.

I have a Tesco F&F cashmere jumper that's 3 or 4 years old. Washes and wears fine. Will probably look for some more this winter, as I have a baby, slightly changed body shape, and greying hair that mean some of my old jumpers don't suit so well anymore.

I have three & four year old ones that are still going strong. Worn & washed just as well as a couple of much more expensive ones. I'll certainly buy more if I see colours & styles I like, haven't looked yet.

That's great thank you, think I will treat myself then. There was only a coral colour v neck one in our small local store but I see they are doing a bright pink one in the Christmas book. Need something to brighten me up and detract from the dull, grey, haggard look I now sport. Didn't realise that they would last so well but that's good, thanks

It's not a supermarket as such, but John Lewis does relatively cheap cashmere and I have found it to be of a perfectly decent quality. I wear a v-neck cashmere jumper bought from there all the time and it's still lovely as ever after many washes.
