New work wardrobe...

So, recently been made redundant, lined up some contracting work and interviewing left, right and centre and I need some fab new work clothes. Well, I don't neeeed them, but I feel the need for a spruce up!

I'm 5ft6, about a size 12/14, very hourglass with big norks, big hips and a smallish waist. A bit soft and lumpy (I sound lush!), but spanx work very well on me and I'm not averse to wearing them!

A couple of recent purchases I love are

phase eight red dress
and
black and camel

I'm very fair skinned, dark haired and cool toned. Probably a winter - not great with pastels, can wear black, love red, purple, navy....

I'm looking for nice work clothes, not necessarily suits, and a nice balance between classy/professional and not too frumpy (I'm 27)

Suggestions please!

How about a Me & Em Ruched dress?

Took my sister shopping recently (also an hourglass) and bought her this banana republic dress. Not many sizes left online but I saw lots of them in store last week. It looks great paired with this red jacket

You are me about 3 inches shorter! Same size, shape & colouring, so will be taking inspiration here too.

I buy a lot from Oasis and Warehouse (mainly from ASOS due to living in Asia). Anything ruched is a winner.

I know it gets a bad press on here, but Next is spot on for me in terms of work dresses, especially the 2-in-1 style. I have a short torso and the waist is spot on.
