Help, I can see my eyebrows!

I'm meeting DH's new colleagues this Friday, so obviously today was a good time to prune my overgrown fringe myself. I used the twist-and-cut method, and when I let go... my eyebrows appeared for the first time in about 13 years! It's not quite Dr Spock/Bette Davis level awful, but not exactly the look I had in mind .

I can't pin it back as I look even more godawful with no fringe than with a wimpy thick but over-trimmed fringe. I also can't wear a hat. Please, please, please: can anybody think of anything that will make it less noticeable (that doesn't involve making me look even less normal)?

find somewhere close by that does threading (shopping centre/superdrug) go early so they have time to calm down!!!
