Help! Handbags and water don't mix, do they?

Out this morning, feeling awful with a cold, so I bought a bottle of water. Despite thinking to myself, I must put the top back on securely, I obviously didn't.

My beautiful Mulberry oak bag now has a massive water mark across the bottom. I've padded it with kitchen roll and am waiting for it to dry out.

Any suggestions as to how to get rid of the tide mark etc?

Bad luck . If it's only water, could you dunk the whole bag to even it out?

I spilt a whole bottle of coke in my Mulberry the other day. Amazingly it survived without a mark. It was a coated canvas one though not a leather one. Hope you get as lucky!
