Plum or teal jumper?

I was looking at a jumper the other day - I liked it in plum and teal, but couldn't make up my mind. The assistant asked me what I would be wearing it with, said jeans and she said teal wouldn't look right with blue denim. I still like the plum colour I bought home, but am now thinking the teal might be a bit brighter for winter and wondering whether to change. Any thoughts anyone?

Can't comment without seeing the exact shade of teal as it can vary from a light greeny blue to a dark greeny blue.

On the face of it I would say plum is a better option.

All depends on colour of jeans I think.
If they're really dark, teal would be fine.

Plum and teal are 2 of the colours I wear most during winter. I naturally gravitate towards plum more - it looks great with denim and brown boots. Teal usually looks better with black IMO.

Teal can work but I think it needs to be broken up with a different colour. I wear a teal jumper with denim but layer a long white slouch vest beneath. It just sharpens the look - otherwise the teal & denim can look a bit meh.

Do you have grey jeans? I think grey jeans would work against the teal

Also depends on your colouring...I look better in teal than plum

as passthe says it depends on your colouring. if you have spring colouring then teal will look better. teal is one of my favourite colours and i wear it with jeans all the time....though i'm no fashion guru i guess

Teal is a great winter brightener and I think could go with more coloured trousers/jeans as well as denim like black/grey you can also dress it up with a cool lighter scarf hummingbird like this one.

Denim goes with EVERYTHING, that's the point surely, it is basically a neutral

Teal with dark blue-black,black or grey would be ok, 'normal' blue jeans might look a bit strange?
