Bloody Tesco clothing!

So on the recommendation of a lovely MNer whose name I can't recall on this board I bought the Tesco green fit and flare dress, it arrived, was lovely but damaged (all pulled around the skirt), so I returned it for a replacement. Rang up to check it had arrived, was assured that the replacement was being processed, all good.

10 days later, not heard anything, so I rang to check all was well. Oh no, they never had any intention of replacing it, no record of my call, and now it's sold out (well, except for a size 6 which I will never be). A particularly intellectually challenged customer service assistant (who took 3 tries to take down my order number) keeps going on about "crediting my Tesco account" when I had already told him I paid by card and that the refund had been processed, that wasn't the issue. He then said "well it's not my fault, not my problem." Great customer service I don't think...

Now a manager, who has "never dealt with clothing before", is meant to be ringing me back. Five minutes ago. I'm not holding my breath...

I'm currently very anti-Tesco clothing because of its totally random, inconsistent sizing which means I've got to trek back to the shop! I bought my son some age 11-12 jeans and an age 11-12 onesie. The onesie is about 3 inches too short in the legs and arms and is so far up his crotch/bum that it's like a permanent wedgie. The jeans however look like they would fit my husband with room to spare. Rubbish! Cheap, but not great quality and such random sizes!

Yeh I've heard that about the kids clothes, but I have another Tesco dress bought some years ago that is lovely and a perfect fit. This was my first foray into Tesco online, won't be making that mistake again.

A lovely lady at a Tesco near work has reserved one for me though - result!

Agreed. I recently bought a pair of jeans for myself. Tried them on when I got home, they fit fine so I decided to keep them & took off the tags. I wore them the next day, all day, & by evening they were so damned loose they would barely stay up. I'll not be buying any more jeans from there. It's not necessarily because they are cheap supermarket jeans either - my Asda jeans, bought a month ago, are fine.

My other gripe with Tesco is that they sell clothes from a size 6 up. Fine. Why on earth do they not do a bra below a 32 band? And most of them start at a 34. I'm a size 10 & wear a 30 band. What are all the size 6's supposed to wear?

Yeh my Asda jeans are awesome, in fact I love all Asda clothing! But I bought a pair of M&S linen trousers that did exactly that and now fall down without a belt.

I think Tesco haven't caught on to the bra intervention yet!
