Please any if you larger ladies, can you recommend a shorter style. I have a chin length bob which I'm sick off . Would love to take the plunge and go shorter but terrified of it not suiting me, do you prefer short hair or longer and is it easier to style, my hair is thick and mousey blond Smile

Hah, go for it :) My only advice wrt hairstyle and being 'larger' is to avoid round hairstyles like the plague. A blow-dried bob tends to go round, and a blow-dried short bob can make you look amusingly like a carefully-stacked pile of different sized eggs. So don't do that.

I once had a pixie cut while I was fat - they suit me when I'm thin, but I hadn't realised how much fatter my face & neck had got. I looked butch, like a prize fighter or something.

My hair's thick and wavy. Short cuts can be a pig to manage, so I have lots of layers - long or short. With a good cut, fitting the layers to my waves, it looks all flippy and lively but can still be dried smooth when required :)

Mine's a bit like this ...

I honestly think longer hair looks better on fatter people. If you fancy a change from your chin length bob, then why not try growing it? You can put longer hair up, it is way more versatile than short hair.

Do you want to goo shorter or just different? There are loads of variations of a bob around.

I do think one Ineeds a bit of length to balance things out if you're larger.

Yes garlic you hit the nail on the head, I'm so wary of looking butch. I agree about the layers, will have to get looking for some styles Smile

Short hair only if it really works on you.
My larger DF has always had short hair, but it's very slightly curly and naturally fair, although now highlighted.

She can blow dry it flicked back at the sides and fluffed up on top so it draws your eyes up, away from her round body and towards her very pretty face. Because her hairs faintly wavy she can do this without her hair having to be pixie short.

Most people's hair isn't this helpful when short and neither short bobs or very spiky very short hair does are forgiving on round faces.

I went v short earlier this year and love it. Everyone says it makes me look much younger, and I tend to agree. It's so easy too.
