I don't know what to wear anymore

I've never been at the forefront of fashionable, but I'm really stuck at the moment. I've always looked crap in skinny jeans or trousers, but it's so hard to find anything else atm. I usually try to buy bootleg jeans as they flatter my figure much better, but there's so little around. I've given in and bought a pair of leggings, which would look OK ish, but not with a t shirt as my bum's too wobbly to show off.
I usually try to wear bootleg trousers with a tailored shirt as I've got a nice waist. Billowing tops just make me look like a sack of potatoes, I need a nipped in waist but not too revealing/tight/short IYSWIM?
I'm a 12 ish on top and a 14 ish on the bottom. I just don't know what to wear any more, I go into shops and it all just looks crap on me.
Help?
Don't have much money either.

I'd feel a bit naked in that with tights.

I hate that the crotch seems to be permanently round my knees even if I buy large/tall ones.

Depends if you want to look like your wearing tights and a mini dress or leggings and a tunicSmile

I have issues with tights where if I buy them long enough in the legs, the waistband ends up under my breasts. Everything then makes it's way inexorably downwards Wink. I don't bother buying the cheap, multipack ones and more, the more expensive ones do seem better. Stay ups are good under a heavy skirt, the modern ones do actually seen to stay up, on me at least.

I think that dress would look better with the woollen tights than with leggings but maybe that's just me. Would you wear boots with leggings or would you want to see the ankle/foot? I must say I'm not a huge fan of the dress-over-trousers look so perhaps that's influencing me unduly. Wear your leggings into town and try it on Smile

I am a lurker. I just wanted to chip in and thank trills for the dressipi link.

I have moved from full time working woman with tiny boobs on a petite frame and an excellent working wardrobe to mat leave with E cup boobs, 2 tops and one pair of jeans which fit. It's a nightmare! I hope dressipi might be my salvation.

Good luck OP x

For this of you who find most tights sit under their ribs, may I recommend the Gap low rise tights (£7). They are the only ones I can wear that sit nicely, and not too high. I am a size 10 and wear the S/M size. They don't seem to ladder easily, either

Thanks for that Bunny, I'll look out for low rise tights. We don't have a Gap but I love their jeans so always pop in when I get the chance.
