Jeans (again)

What sort of jeans should I be wearing?
I'm a size 12-14, 5ft 0 hourglass/pear (never quite sure which, I have a definite waist but my hips are slightly wider than my chest) but have chunky legs.

What style of jeans should I be wearing? Have recently lost weight so need interim jeans whilst I get to my ideal size so don't want to spend a lot of money but my size 16 jeans have way too much fabric around the waist to be comfortable.

Skinnys. All the way. They'll balance you out cheese with cute boots. Next have some really nice ones. And oasis.

What sort of boots? I'm not big on heels for casual despite being a shortarse!

Shamelessly marking my place Smile

I'm on a mission to buy some indigo & black skinnies today. I'm targeting M&S first as I've read on here that their £22.50 jeggings are good.

As for boots....hmmmmm... I've got some grey biker type boots that I wear with my existing skinnies, also some brown knee highs with a heel and a few other pairs that I've acquired along the way Grin

Gap High Rise Skinnies come in black I think. They're great quality.

Get thee to New Look and buy their supersoft skinnies. I find they dont go baggy at the knee, dont transfer dye, come in lots of colours (I just bought the grey ones) and are only £20 - perfect for during weight loss.
Wear with ankle boots or knee boots to balance out thighs and hips.
Much better than the M&S jeggings.

Well done on the weight loss btw.

Flat ish. Knee high. Brown leather boots. New look Jane some nice ones. Or dune.

MrsHelsBels74 · 08/10/2013 19:01

How do Dune and New Look boots come up on those of us more well endowed on the calf front?

I'm also losing weight, got about half a stone to go. The item that has been the versatile is DP's jeggings. They're like soft, stretchy skinnies, but with a stretchy waistband with belt loops so you can disguise it. Because they're so stretchy they last a longer as you shrink, and the smaller size fits quicker.

I'm addicted!

I've given up on ( most !) skinnies after realising my legs are just too chunky .. I'm 5'0" and a size 16 hourglass and I wear straight leg with small heels or flats and have had so many more compliments since from my DH and best friend in particular.
I just think if like me you may be chunky of thigh it's more flattering in the straight ( and even tapered boy)
However I do also have a pair of h&m skinnies I wear with grey biker boots (and if you want long boots - duo boots are great as you can order by calf width) and a pair of M&S jegging that I wore to death on holiday as they were so comfy ! But I wore those with heels only.

Oh and well done on the weight loss !!

i am similar proportions op and skinnies just don't suit me because of my height and thigh ratio.
i have found new look boot cut dark jeans for a tenner to be great. they are not too wide at the bottom and work wonders for the bum.
i can however get away with dark skinny trousers.
