'Coach' bag model K0868-13250

I wandered into my local charity shop today and picked up a nice leather bag. It's by a brand called Coach, beige leather and has a number in it, K0868-13250.

It was £8.99 so thought I'd get it. It needs a bit of a clean and there are a couple of biro marks but seems in good overall condition. Is it a good buy or have I just bought a fake? Don't know much about this brand so thought S&B might now!

I think it's pretty expensive and American but I could be wrong. No matter if you like it you have a bargain either way. My friend has one and said it was £400 but it doesn't look all that special to
Me.

Thanks for getting back to me. It certainly is well made but £400 seems a lot to pay for a bag! I think £100 is a lot to pay though!!

Coach bags are not cheap £8.99sounds like a bargain if you like it. I have quite a few from American shopping trips. Ime the quality is better than mulberry (the other type of bag I have a few of).

No one really recognises it as a brand in the UK, although there is a bond st store. It's not really brand recognition I'm after, it's a quality bag that lasts and lasts.

My current coach has gone for 3 years of everyday use and is still in good nick. I have the purse that goes with and they cost equivalent of £600 together with exchange rate at the time.

My Madison range one (like the type you describe) had to be retired as the handle 'protector' got raggedy marks wearing on the leather. But yours is a bit different from mine which is a large black slouchy hobo.

Coach bags are gorgeous. I was given one for my 18th birthday and still use it now I am 40!

Ooh lucky you! I have one which cost just under £400 I think about 2 years ago!
