Is there such a thing? Fed up with jeans! What do my fellow apple shapes wear?

Come on you Bramleys, Coxes and Golden Deliciouses!

Granny Smith here Grin

Not very helpful but I don't wear trousers. Ever.

There is not a pair on earth that don't emphasise my belly. Just as well I prefer dresses anyway.

NewChoos · 04/10/2013 16:31

Jeggings from M and S. Really, try them!

pollycazalet · 04/10/2013 17:00

Seriously Choos? Any particular ones and what do you wear them with? I had some awful Gap ones which went baggy and had to chuck

I have loads of skinny cords from Next. Not too much of a muffin top, only one of the pairs falls down without a belt and not too baggy in the thigh. My usualy problem is that, if i can fasten it, it's way too big around the backside.

mrgarybarlow · 04/10/2013 17:09

Zara do some nice black straight leg trousers that I find fit really well. Trousers in Zara never fit me right but these do

pollycazalet · 04/10/2013 18:24

Mrsgary I just can't do Zara - like you nothing fits

I've had luck with Jigsaw (I loved their cotton sateen trousers for work this summer but very expensive), Fatface jeans, Gap slim crops. Also topshop Kristen skinnies. I wear dresses and skirts/shorts a lot though for this reason.

Scarletohello · 04/10/2013 18:44

I tend to wear straight legged linen, cord or velvet trousers. Never leggings! Make me look pregnant...

MotherOfSoupDragon · 05/10/2013 00:31

Watching with interest. I'm apple shaped too and all trousers are too tight around the waist and baggy on the bum/thighs Hmm I've almost given up on jeans, wish I could find casual skirts I like though.

MrsTwgtwf · 05/10/2013 00:57

I know this is silly...I thought from the thread title it was a discussion of suitable trousers to be worn for scrumping apples. Big pockets required; and probably not white linen, since you will be climbing trees. Blush

YoungBritishPissArtist · 05/10/2013 10:02

Apple here!

With the M&S jeggings, what do you wear them with?

NewChoos · 05/10/2013 11:35

I will try and link, they cost £22.50.

They don't look great in pic, but really flattering on.
I wear mine with linen T's (Boden had them in summer, not sure if still have them, will look, typing with 1 hand, bf DD!)
Also Bretons (fairly relaxed fit). I know they are a bit marmite to people but I like a dark navy breton!
I favour black, navy, grey colours so easy throw together a look (I think....)
I just got a wool cardigan/jacket in Laura Ashley, which will wear over a T and probably a scarf, brought a lovely navy one in the white company.

Like this but mine was just black.

And a jumper a bit like this

I do not claim to have style though....

NewChoos · 05/10/2013 11:44

This kind of style:

YoungBritishPissArtist · 05/10/2013 12:09

New Choos, thanks! Thanks

MrsCocoa · 05/10/2013 12:21

Apple plus post 2 x c-section 'pouch'.

Didn't expect these to work but they are great tailored trousers. They do a full length version too.
