I have just received a lovely Hermes scarf as a gift from dh and don't know how to wear it without looking wrong imo.

First of all, it is a lovely dove grey with a hint of pink and 90cm silk twill.
The colour is perfect and will go with anything.
Secondly, i'm a very casual dresser(I shop at Boden/Lands endBlush.)

I need help.
I have looked on line at some tutorials and they just depress me, I end up looking like I have a sore throat!
I work from home, hence the casual look.
So when, where ,and with what shall I wear my scarf and how do I do it.

Maitai is good.

Hermes have some cards with ideas on how to use their scarves. You can get them for free in the shops. You can also see them here: www.maitaispicturebook.com/2010/02/hermes-scarf-knotting-cards-vol-iii.html

You can also have a look on the Hermes subforum on the purseforum - there's a thread about Hermes scarves and they post pictures of how they wear them every so often.

I usually don't use a scarf ring, but I wear my scarves in a cowboy knot (you can see that on the maitai site that SundaySimmons linked to - I just knot the ends so I don't drop the scarf).
I have used the friendship knot a lot. And I've worn it so it looks a bit like a tie - but now I have a jumping dog, I don't do it - I don't want to risk that it gets ruined by a muddy paw or a sharp claw.
