I am hoping the cardigan I want is going in the sale. I could buy it now, but knowing my luck the sale will start in the next half hour. Answers on a postcard please..........

YEs, who said bias cut was flattering? Not on anyone I've seen!

JoolsToo · 07/07/2006 16:05

gobble am I being IGNORED????!!!

SoMuchToBits · 07/07/2006 16:07

Buying stuff in the Boden sale IS therapy - isn't it????

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 16:08

What do you mean?

Piffle · 07/07/2006 16:09

Jools you are preaching to the unconvertible darlinnk!

I look good in bias cut [modesty}
Big norks, no hips FWIW

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 16:12

Yeah, I think if you have hips they just look awful. I've got a small waist and, I think, normal size hips so other shape dresses/skirts are far more flattering - like the green 50s one that MrsBadger linked to

yes Piffle you are spot on

the style gurus (so called) used to say bias cut was perfect for pear shapes! never in a million years!

puff · 07/07/2006 17:44

ahem - I have the pink print one and it's fab . Colour really suits me. The beauty of this dress is it needs no ironing - just wash and hang up - dries fast - voila!

Gobbledigook · 07/07/2006 17:45

Is that the one I was talking about Puff? The pink, brown, turquoise one? I saw a woman wearing it in Manchester Airport and it looked lovely on her - that's what's made me order it!

cupcakes · 07/07/2006 17:48

anniemac - I have this 50's dress which I bought last year. It has a really flattering shape and a regular back (not cut in a v).

puff · 07/07/2006 17:50

yes - but mine's the red printed one, although it's not actually red - it's a reddy pink. I love it because it looks good and required no effor re the ironing.

Kaz33 · 07/07/2006 18:08

I must admit I woke up at 1am in the morning and thought I'll go and see if the sale has started. But was to bleary eyed to make any decisions so god knows what I have bought...

hana · 09/07/2006 23:49

does anyone ever order through quidco?
they offer 8% back on purchases from boden

Clary · 10/07/2006 00:50

GDG I love that pink mac, alas have only got online now to browse the women's stuff properly. Brown embellished skirt sold out.
Mrs B I like brown and green dress - which did you get?

I didn't get either dress Clary - mentioned it to dh with a view to wearing it to this christening and he said 'but what about that linen suit you haven't worn yet?' and I was overcome with Remorse, Guilt and Thrift, so am wearing the linen suit .

Clary · 10/07/2006 10:20

ooh yes Guilt and Thrift, but my summer wardrobe so far consists of £5 T-shirts from Marks and a £15 pair of trousers from Next, so I was due a splurge.
Anyway lots of it will go back

Piffle · 10/07/2006 10:26

got my stuff today!
Nothing to go back
hmmmm how to put a daffodil yellow skirt into my wardrobe and wear it without dp figuring its new...

NomDePlume · 10/07/2006 10:28

When did you order, Piff ? I'm waiting for mine ordered Friday morning.

Clary · 10/07/2006 10:29

how much did you spend?
I think we should all confess on here.
Mine is £130 plus another £70 last night (ooops).
But this is pre-returns....
What's the yellow skirt btw? (didn't spot that)

NomDePlume · 10/07/2006 10:30

I only spent £67 (not inc p&p)

NomDePlume · 10/07/2006 10:31

Is it the raw edge linen skirt, piff ?

hana · 10/07/2006 12:37

was v restrained and spent £45

SoMuchToBits · 10/07/2006 12:51
