I am hoping the cardigan I want is going in the sale. I could buy it now, but knowing my luck the sale will start in the next half hour. Answers on a postcard please..........

come on now piffle, tell us how much!

hana · 10/07/2006 13:11

was only for dd tho
am preg at moment so will wait until next year for me!

albatros · 10/07/2006 13:14

Hi I caught the Boden bug from you all and filled my basket including 2 lovely matching dresses for my dd's to wear to a wedding soon. BUT they don't take Solo cards and so after going through it all I have to bin the order and forget the whole thing

albatros · 10/07/2006 13:28

Have just rung them and they do accept cheques, I will write out my order and post the cheque but what is the chance of the things I want still being in stock by the time it arrives? oh well I'll give it a go

laughinglil · 10/07/2006 13:30

albratros they do take solo cards hun! Just click on switch instead of solo..done this plenty of times and my order is always processed! Mine has just come back that my order has been dispatched! quick get back and order!

KathyMCMLXXII · 10/07/2006 13:31

Just ordered £116 worth of stuff for dd - that's 2 seasons worth and half of it was boys' stuff so it will do for next baby too (so it's really very economical )
However in my experience of Boden sales, they won't have all the stuff they think they have when it comes to dispatching the order, so I haven't really spent that much

Piffle · 10/07/2006 13:34

yes the raw edge linen skirt, I LOVE it!
I spent ummm
About £160 all up perhaps a bit more , bought one or two non sale things as typically was waiting for the sale for them and then they were not in it (croped cargos and woven strappy smock tops for dd for those in the know)
dp agreed for me to buy dd some pjs only.
ooops

laughinglil · 10/07/2006 13:38

i didn't like anything for me

Clary · 10/07/2006 13:39

hmm piff I think y?re fibbing about £160 as the skirt is £40!
I didn?t see that one actually, grrr, like it! tho only available in the mad blue pattern now anyway. (nice, but not what I want) I went for the beachy linen skirt instead as a nice shortish skirt is handy for holiday.

albatros · 10/07/2006 14:09

Thanks laughinglil I've just done it . It still had my shopping held in the basket as well so I didn't have to go through it all again
Now I just have to wait

Gobbledigook · 10/07/2006 22:50

Ahem, I ordered mine on Thursday night and it was only despatched today! I always get mine later than everyone else!

NomDePlume · 11/07/2006 09:06

I got the despatch email yesterday, so hopefully it should arrive today....

BearintheBigBlueHouse · 11/07/2006 09:11

first two orders arrived at 7.45am - DD can't wait to get back from pre-school to try on her gypsy skirt - suspect she may even feign illness to nick off early - she's just like her mother.

LucyCampCat · 11/07/2006 10:02

yep mine arrived this morning (ordered Friday morning) - the nighties are in the wash already as they have that 'Grimsby fish-trawler' smell about them and I know the dd's will want to wear them tonight!

DD2 has her pink flowery beach trousers and hotchpotch top on now - together, mmm it's a bit much methinks

laughinglil · 11/07/2006 10:04

mine arrived this morning and its all going back..apart from the fleeces..really do not like anything!

NomDePlume · 11/07/2006 10:05

Come ON Mr Courier......

LucyCampCat · 11/07/2006 10:05

What didn't you like lil?

Bozza · 11/07/2006 10:07

Quick question. What are the children's sizes like? Seen a couple of bits for my 5yo DS and 2yo DD. Neither of them are big children, DD in particular. She is mainly in 12-18, with a few 18-24 although the 2yo Vertbaudet fit her OK.

NomDePlume · 11/07/2006 10:09

Not got any Boden kids stuff, but I find Vertbaudet tiny, especially their tops. DD is a tall-ish 3y11m old and I have to buy a 6y in tops, a 5y in trousers. French kids must be teeny

Bozza · 11/07/2006 10:15

Think DD is reasonably teeny though, she still has two 9-12 pinafores that fit perfectly despite her being 2.2.

SoMuchToBits · 11/07/2006 11:03

Mine all arrived this morning. All the stuff for ds is great, but most of the stuff for me, I am sending back, mainly because I don't like the colours. The embellished top in turquoise was too greeny, and I didn't like the colours of the embellishments. The blue cherries dress was a bit too warm a blue for me, which was a shame as it fitted really well. Thought about ordering it in the bright blue 50s bloom, but that has now sold out. The cocoa wide leg linen trousers were again too warm a brown, which was odd, as the cocoa dress was a great colour. Still, I suppose that has saved me some money!

Gobbledigook · 11/07/2006 11:07

Mine arrived this morning.

I'm keeping the swimsuit and the cord jacket. Sending back the stripy jumper as it's quite baggy round the middle, not at fitted as I thought it would be. Also sending back the fuschia rain coat which looks like a clown coat! Not sure yet about the 2 dresses -will show dh tonight and gain opinion. Keeping all the kids stuff.

JackieNo · 11/07/2006 11:12

Somebody on here mentioned that it's worth having another look in a week or two, as everyone will have sent back the stuff they don't want by then, and some things might 'reappear' on the website.

SoMuchToBits · 11/07/2006 11:17

Oh, yes, I will be looking every day, to see what comes back in stock.

NomDePlume · 11/07/2006 11:56

GDG - Was it the 'everyday stripy jumper' you ordered ? I've ordered that too, had to get a 14 though as they had no 12s in stock, sounds like it'll have to go back if it's baggy around the middle, it'll be even baggier in the next size up
