I've worn Double wear light with mac mineralize skinfinish for a while now. I love that its got great coverage and lasts but I feel a bit full in it at the moment.

Any recommendations?

Aldi mineral, I'm not joking.

mmmdonuts · 30/09/2013 11:59

I loved Double Wear Light but agree even the Light formula was a bit full coverage for me.

I've switched to No 7 Instant Radiance which is good for my dry, v pale skin - also a bit cheaper!

Clarins Firming Foundation. Makes my skin look all fresh and glowy.

Ilamasqua Skin Base.

Absolutely fab stuff. Quite full coverage but that suits my wannabe 50's pin-up makeup looks and it is one of the few foundations I've found that caters to pale skin with pinkish undertones.

SO sick of endless samples of sandy yellow foundations.

Mac studio finish for full coverage, Dior anti-aging BB cream for lighter days

KosherBacon · 30/09/2013 12:32

Bourjois healthy mix. I have a list of about 50 (!) foundations that I've tried with comments next to them so I don't keep buying the same rubbish. It includes high end stuff. Bourjois HM is the only one I've recently repurchased. Next under that is Make Up For Ever face and body, however the finish is a little bit lighter.

Mac Studio Tech/Fix. One is powdered based for everyday wear and the other is cream based which I use for special occasions.

It slides onto your skin and stays on.

Pinupgirl · 30/09/2013 16:13

I used to think Double wear but recently I find it is emphasising my pores and fine lines so am going to try Mac studio fix.

Only discovered this year and it I would give it a ten out of ten.

Top marks for shades, coverage and for not feeling like my skin is clogged. It stays on until I rub it off or remove it.

Laval I recommend for budget buy.

Leichner is good for younger skin.

Clarins for higher end.

At the moment I'm using boots seventeen new CC cream and it's really good! Great coverage and feels really light on.
Also Bourjois 123 perfect foundation is good. Very smooth and long lasting.

HappyAsEyeAm · 30/09/2013 20:45

YSL touche eclat foundation. Great for my dry skin, makes it look fresh and dewy. I love it.

ggirl · 30/09/2013 20:49

YSL touche eclat ..tis the dog's bollox of foundations and I have honestly tried them all!

OhDearNigel · 30/09/2013 20:50

Clinique

SaucyJack · 30/09/2013 21:17

Currently using Rimmel's 25 Hour stuff. I doubt it's the best foundation in existence, but it's cheap and I look significantly better after I've put some on, so it does me just fine.

Amrapaali · 30/09/2013 21:18

LilyLolo Mineral Foundation. I got the perfect shade match there..

Bunbaker · 30/09/2013 21:20

Boots no 7 Intelligent Colour. It is the only foundation that I have liked. I look groomed, but not over made up. The coverage is lovely and light and it doesn't feel thick and claggy. I can see why it is their best selling foundation.

Bexicles · 30/09/2013 21:24

Revlon colorstay for evening and Chanel aqualumiere for during the day.

Fairylea · 30/09/2013 21:31

Rimmel stay matte ... similar to double wear!

MrsCocoa · 30/09/2013 23:52

Have just started using Bobbi Brown moisturising treatment foundation: not heavy coverage, but fantastically comforting, even after wearing all day (after 14 hours wear my skin feel freshly moisturised - amazing). Be careful with colours though and take your time with a decision - I ended up with a much lighter tone as colours that originally looked a good match 'twisted' into much darker shades after a couple of minutes.

Salli Hughes (the Guardian) recommends it, together with foundation from Clarins and YSL, here: www.theguardian.com/fashion/video/2013/sep/27/sali-hughes-beauty-tips-autumn-make-up-video
