In really liking the ones in the shops atm, but im a bit scared of looking like dorian from birds of a feather.

Worth buying or not?

love i had the fakey legging ones a few years ago and they were comfy and ok on a cold day as they are warm but in teh evening mutton

noddyholder · 30/09/2013 15:06

again

BetsyBidwell · 30/09/2013 15:09

yes
but they always do that with trousers - show them with bare feet which is only practical for about 2 months of the year....

noddyholder · 30/09/2013 15:12

I would look hideous in them! Plus i think they are already over (sorry) In winter a well worn pair of fryes or forget it they will look like jane mcdonald with most other things. Having said that my mate wears a v old pair with plimsolls and somehow looks good on her

AmberNectarine · 30/09/2013 15:15

I have a lovely pair from Freda at Matches. They are really lovely soft, thin leather and feel great to wear. They are more like skinny jeans than leggings and are a slightly looser fit on the leg. I am 28 so hopefully not quite into mutton territory yet. I wear them with plain tops (i.e Grey marl tee or tight fitting long sleeved v neck) and spiky heels for nights out. May try the chunky knit look for day, though footwear has me a bit stumped as most of my winter boots are black leather...

BetsyBidwell · 30/09/2013 15:16

AmberNectarine · 30/09/2013 15:22

Shit better not wear them with my longline blazer and polka dot blouse...

BetsyBidwell · 30/09/2013 15:23

unles you plan to reunite long lost family members

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/09/2013 16:10

I bought some last year and haven't worn them much to be honest. I prefer them for day rather than going out - ideally with cashmere jumper - the type the white co do.

Not massively dorian but its a fine line.

noddyholder · 30/09/2013 16:22

I agree def daytime

Am bored witless in hospital and planning to reunite long lost family members has given me one of my few genuine lolz of the day.

MrsBucketxx · 30/09/2013 18:33

Down thread I made a joke about not wearing my leathers with a blazer and blouse in homage to the Cilla pic. Betsy then said 'unless you plan to reunite long lost family memers' - tickled me!

MrsBucketxx · 30/09/2013 20:38
