What do people think of these:
uk.geox.com/product/Felicity-Abx-Ankle-Boots-Geox_179618.uts ??

Have tried them on and they're v. comfortable, also waterproof, FWIW.

They would be my 'everyday' ones, mainly to wear with skinnies. I have some nice black suede ones from Russell and Bromley for smarter and particularly to go with dresses.

Counter-suggestions welcome, but nothing higher, please, and nothing from Clark's. I'm just not a fan.

Nicey but pricey Grin

LeoandBoosmum · 30/09/2013 03:21

Ooh, I quite like those! I love the cross-over straps around the back. I'd go for it!

rootypig · 30/09/2013 03:27

Nice! I got these very similar ones - they are a bit lower cut if you preferred. I like the slght contrast of the strap and the bright lining. Also really comfy and well made. I got them for about £105 with a 20% off code.

rootypig · 30/09/2013 03:28

Ooh though I see yours have a rubber sole, sooo comfy

SundaySimmons · 30/09/2013 04:54

They are very smart. Not for me, because I suit a more casual boot which is why I went for these

Thanks. Glad you like them.

On casual, yes, I guess my only reservation about these is whether they are casual enough for everyday - got some from Geox last year which filled that bill perfectly and wore them every day last winter, so they're pretty knackered now.

But these new ones do also seem to be 'practical,' with rubber sole and water-proofing.

I'd really like them if they were slightly lower cut and didn't have the little stamped writing at the top. But they are nice and look v useful.

ironmansmum · 30/09/2013 15:48

It's a yes from me but I couldn't afford to spend that much on a pair of boots! Would have to be in the sales.

Helspopje · 30/09/2013 15:57

these

and
www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productID=0212-I80L-007H025&productvarid=0212-I80L-007H025-CLAY-41&refpage=outlet/shoes-boots in black
are my most recent purchases.

Both lovely and super-comfy, but I have had more complements on the first ones

polyhymnia · 30/09/2013 19:34

I love the look of those Duo ones. In fact, I saw and admired them in their shop the other day. Only thing that puts me off is they have no zip (I think) and I think I might be too lazy to lace and unlace them every time I put them on!

OP posts:
ArtDecoGirly · 30/09/2013 19:52

I'm sure I can see a zip on the Duo boots Smile

VivaLeThrustBadger · 30/09/2013 19:55

I think they're a bit close to being mum boots to be honest.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/09/2013 19:55

Absolutely love those brown Boden ones.

jamaisjedors · 30/09/2013 20:20

What size are your feet? Last year I bought girls ankle boots from Geox (while I was in there buying shoes for the DC) and they are great - a bit cheaper and also really comfy - at the time they were the only flat ankle boots in the shops.

these are similar to yours?
uk.geox.com/category/girl-s-apparels_2693/girls-ankle-boots_2734.uts#/

polyhymnia · 30/09/2013 22:42

I'm afraid my feet are 41 so sadly those very nice girls' Geox won't fit.
I see now the Duo do have a zip - you're right - I may go back and try them.
Like the Boden ones - have been eyeing them since they came in . But I really don't think they have zips - isnt it a bit of a faff to have to buckle them up every time Rootypig?

Any other suggestions - or preferences as between the original Geox the Duo and the Boden??

Helspopje · 01/10/2013 16:46

they do have a zip
and look lovely in a size 42 (many boots do not elongate v well, these do)

polyhymnia · 02/10/2013 10:08

Thanks, helspopje. Am going to Duo to check them out - luckily just round corner from Geox in Covent Garden, so can make up my mind - I hope!
