Pure acetone is the best. The sell bottles in Sally's hair and beauty. It makes removing glitters much easier!
However a nail polish remover won't get rid of staining you need to use a good base cost before you apply your nail polish to reduce that.

Cutex Moisture Guard nail polish remover is brilliant gets everything off and leaves nails in a nice condition. It's my go to for polish removers

noddyholder · 29/09/2013 15:48

Definitely Cutex! I won't use anything else. False economy Smile

You can get acetone nail varnish remover in Superdrug. I use it for glitter polishes. You definitely need to use a base coat in future though to avoid staining.

Does acetone weaken nails? I know it ruins false nails but how about real ones?

sedgieloo · 29/09/2013 17:53

I have the pure acetone from Sally's. But find the pink bottle in lidl even better. I think it's acetone free also. It's brilliant and not so drying.

jackstini · 30/09/2013 15:45

Acetone is drying but it is a lot faster at getting polish off.
If you can find cheap artificial nail remover (think B&M bargains, home bargains etc.) that works really well too.
Just use cuticle oil after and rub it in well

Cutex Ultra Cleansing.
