George at ASDA sizing?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my DS some new trousers but don't have much money to spend at the mo. Was looking online at George at ASDA but I'm not too sure what size to order him (I don't live near one so returning them might be a hassle). He's 2.7yrs old, 89cm tall, so according to their size guide he's only 3cm off their 2-3yrs sizing. But he's really skinny. He currently fits into 1.5-2yrs in H&M clothes (with the tie fastened quite a bit) and still has shorts from there in 12-18months which fit (but if they were trousers they'd be ankle swinging!). I find shops tend to vary a lot (Primark clothes come up really small for him IMO, while Mothercare is huge)

Not sure whether to go for 2-3yrs because of his height and being only 3cm shorter than their guide, they'll at least last him a while, but I'm worried they'll just fall down! He's potty trained during the daytime but obviously can't faff with buttons so I always put him in trousers with a tie waist.

Sorry, I do tend to waffle! Any experiences with their sizing is appreciated Smile
