Help - my hair is a disaster!!

I have very fine hair. Due to never managing to get to a hairdresser more than once a year, it is long (currently on my shoulder blades), straggly and very flat/lacking body. No layers etc as grown out since my last expedition to hairdresser. No fringe as wonky bit at front makes it not sit nice (I sound lovely don't I?!) so feel my forehead looks massive. Need to lose some weight so face is chubby round/oval. Booked a hair appointment for Saturday - can anyone suggest some looks to try?!?! Thanks.

Try seaching hairstyles through google to get an idea of what you want, if you have one of these 'smart phones' search on that and then you can save a few hairstyles you like to your camera roll then show them to your hairdresser - if not buy a hair magazine, you're bound to find something you like in there and take a few pictures with you to your appointment.

Hmmmm, I would maybe suggest blow drying your hair upside down to get some more volume.

Make sure you tell your hairdresser that you really don't want the flat look. I find that a lot of hairdressers don't really look at the face shape before styling and tend to just style everyone's hair the same. Whatever is trendy at the time.

I have very thick hair, but whenever I go to the hairdressers they straighten it to within an inch of it's life and make it look super super flat Confused I can't get away with it because I've got quite a round face too.

There are products out there which give you a lift at the roots. Maybe worth a google.
