Alternative to touche eclat??

chummymummy7 · 26/09/2013 11:54

Has anybody discovered a reasonable and comparable touche eclat alternative? I'm olive skinned so it can't be too white/pink.

TIA! SmileSmile

clinique air brush is now my go to. comes in 3 shades.

www.clinique.co.uk/products/search/ecat.tmpl?search=air+brush

MissDD1971 · 26/09/2013 12:46

approx £18

PS - if ever I've tried stuff like the L'oreal etc equivalent colour and finish is ALL WRONG.

Lazysuzanne · 26/09/2013 12:52

Foundation preference seems to be very individual... I'm never sure if the expensive ones are always worth paying for?

MissDD1971 · 26/09/2013 12:55

Lazysuzanne - the air brush is more a concealer. in fact that's what it is, it's light reflective and not a foundation.

FWIW - some cheaper foundations are good - Maybelline etc - but they keep changing packaging.

it depends what you want and if you have the money to pay more then why not? technology of more expensive brands often does filter down to cheaper ones though and Chanel etc I think owns Bourjois etc.

MissDD1971 · 26/09/2013 12:57

sorry - yes the air brush IS a concealer as is the Touche Eclat.

more for use under eyes than anywhere else as light reflective.

personally since using them I wouldn't use anything else - for a light reflecting concealer for eye area.

thanks for the info MissDD :o
I will investigate.....Wink

chummymummy7 · 26/09/2013 18:22

Not used it myself but ave been told the aldi version is very very good ....

bluebump · 26/09/2013 18:25

I love the Clinique one too, but I haven't used Touche Eclat before so I can't compare it to that.

Ememem84 · 26/09/2013 18:31

Clarins do one. It's just as good. Bit cheaper. Three colours. I think.

MrsMeow · 26/09/2013 18:32

Collection 2000, £5 ish. It's absolutely fantastic (and I've spent £££ in the Past on YSL!)

feelinlucky · 26/09/2013 18:33

I used touché éclat for years but I'm an Aldi's own convert. It's just as good and around £4. Seriously!

I agree the collection one is really good, so cheap and lasts for ages.

HandMini · 26/09/2013 19:19

I've used the By Terry one from Space NK and it is v good, but similar price to Touche Éclat.

frankietwospots · 26/09/2013 20:53

Just bought the Collection one and it's good. Goes a long way so apply sparingly.

chummymummy7 · 26/09/2013 21:01

What is the Collection one called please?

SundaySimmons · 27/09/2013 08:36

Having Wasted hundreds of pounds on regularly buying touché éclat I found the collection 2000 one to be much, much better.

Oh my! Apologies for misspelling your name chummymummy. I turned you into a pornstar for a moment! :(

Laquila · 27/09/2013 09:40

I've used the L'Oreal one for years and couldn't be without it (I'm fair but have slightly yellow-toned skin...which is not as weird as it sounds!)

I think it's called Radiant Touch. I do NOT rate the No7 one, btw.

MissDD1971 · 27/09/2013 09:43

I think I want to try the Aldi one now! Grin

WestmorlandSausage · 27/09/2013 09:47

i've got the Aldi Lacura one, its fine.

chummymummy7 · 27/09/2013 09:53

Thanks for the link Sundaysimmons...and the porn star moment!

I've used some really expensive make up and Aldi is as good as any of them. I was a snob. It's so good. Give it a go, you have nothing to lose!
