I have got to get some tops branded for work, and am wondering which is harder wearing, shrinks less etc - sweatshirts or fleece? Amazingly I can't find anything on google about this....!

Well some fleece can pill and look ratty very quickly. Depends what kind of fleece it is.

Have never heard of fleece or sweatshirting shrinking.

Fleece will be warmer, so bear in mind your working environment.

Hmmm - thanks BitchyRestingFace, good point, I'm buying on a tight budget and although both options are the same price, perhaps the sweatshirt version will look smarter for longer?

Sweatshirts will look smarter for longer, fleeces are warmer (going by all the branded fleeces and sweatshirts my DH has!) Cheap thin fleece especially looks ratty quickly and is horribly static. OTOH I think a lot of people would prefer to wear a zip up fleece to a sweatshirt. Could be wrong though :)

There's only one way to find out..... fight
