Are they supposed to come just below the knee, at the knee or at kneecap? I've never known as have short legs anyway so most stuff is disproportional...... But am coveting some Dune riding boots and not sure if they fit properly or are to long. Hope that made some sense.....Blush

I guessing that it can vary. I'm 5'5" (about average height I think) and most come to just below the knee on me. I do have a pair with a slightly raised bit at the front that covers part of the knee cap - I think they look quite good. A bit like this picture.

Also have a pair of flat suede over-the-knee boots which are comfy warm and I hope don't look too "Pretty Woman"! (I probably mistakenly think the suede and flatness tones them down.)

Try a load on and see what looks and feels good!

If you're short (like I am) I'm afraid chances are that knee boots will make your legs appear even shorter. Mid calf boots would usually work better; something lime this: www.shuperb.co.uk/womens-c3/boots-fashion-c23/lynette-ladies-leather-biker-boots-black-p3092
