Had a spare half hour at lunch time so I tried a couple of things on in Next. Usual changing rooms, cubicles and then open area with mirrors. There was a women in there who I would say was in her late 30's and was flouncing in and out of the cubicle in all states of dress with various outfits. To be fair she had a great body (cow!) but couldn't believe her choice of smalls. A white and pink lacy thing that was barely there under nude tights. Now I saw here top half and she had a nice colour to her so I have no idea why she would want to wear tights but to pair that with a thong I thought was horrendous!

Maybe you could have Lent her a pair of judgey pants?

You obviously don't remember the days of communal dressing rooms! You got more than a quick glimpse of someones thong under some tights!

Gah!! The communal changing room... Hideous. Trying to change whilst backing against the wall only to realise your bum is reflecting back through the mirror to the whole changing room! Made worse by the fact you are trying to squeeze into trousers/skirt/dress a size too small because you are too vain to admit you are a larger size!!

I'm back very much with tail between legs! Reading this back I see how awful I must have sounded and should have known better. It just didn't look right for some reason but perhaps that's because I don't really do thongs!
I am sure I have had my fair share of people questioning my appearance over the years so I have no right to question others!

Oh and When I me mentioned that she had a good colour I meant a very nice subtle tan ( be it bottle or real) so why wear nude tights. I certainly don't want to wear tights when my legs are showing a healthy glow which is not very often!

I hate the trend for bare legs outside of being a young girl or worn in summer or a very hot day! Tights or stockings are much more classier than bare legs. Must be my age but I can't bear (!) to see bare legs and find it a very unsophisticated look!

Yes, never have bare legs to work unless in ridiculous temperature situations! Doubtful in September!

Definitely tights once well into September. Bare legs are just wrong unless it is the middle of summer and warm.
