I have a grey, 1940s jacket, which I love but don't know how to wear. It is tailored with padded shoulders and nips in tight at the waist with 2 buttons and has 2 buttons on the cuffs. I have a small waist so it looks good on my waist, but I am at a loss for what to wear with it. It is quite formal looking, a real suit look and I don't have many occasions to wear formal clothes. I am 53 and I used to wear it in the 90s with a pencil skirt but that's not really my style now (Not sure what my style is now)
Is there any way I can wear it without going for the full formal suit/pencil skirt look? Or should I just give up on it and sell it to someone who knows how to wear it?
