Help with plucking eyebrows and chin required!

How can I avoid black dots which seem to be the leftover/broken off root of the previous hair where I am plucking? The skin around my eyebrows and chin looks crap: pimply, hairy, scaly, and/or spotty seem to be the options.

I have a good quality tweezer. Some say to pull in the direction of hair growth others against it, but I don't feel it's making much of a difference.

I have exactly this problem-unsightly black dots between my eyebrows-I pluck with tweezerman-but my hair is v thick dark and coarse-so that may be my problem.

I need to squeeze quite hard to get them out and then my skin goes all red and eventually gets all flakey ...

Try plucking after a shower or bath. You should find the follicle gives up the root more easily. Also maybe try exfoliating after plucking?

I always pluck mine in the direction of growth. I gently stretch the skin at the same time which helps - also prevents me from pinching skin with tweezers

It would be better to get them professionally waxed or threading so that you are not breaking off at the root. When plucking it's best to do it after a hot bath/shower or hold a hot flannel over the area. Stretch the skin taut & pluck in the direction of growth. The black spots may be the new hair growing through not necessarily broken off hair. When you pluck you should see the root bulb on the end if you are plucking correctly.

I think mine is regrowth rather than breakage-but when they are too short to be able to pluck. I do get them threaded but literally have to pluck the middle daily due to hairyness

I also have to pluck daily. No way could I wait a week or even longer to go for a professional job.

I have this problem. I've got PCOS. Daily plucking is required. I have - or rather would have if I didn't pluck - practically a full moustache and a goatee.

I find that pulling slowing and smoothly rather than yanking reduces the number of those little black things that get left behind. Exfoliating beforehand helps too. But sad to say, there's little that can be done about the 5 oclock shadow. Even makeup doesn't hide it.

if left to nature I would have a thick, coarse, Brian Blessed style beard, so need to get the tweezers out daily

I'm trying vaniqa cream from the doctors. It slows the growth right down so hopefully no more daily plucking.

I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and already noticed a slowing down of the growth!
