Very interesting Kidstrack, I'm saving up for one too but, like you, want to try the exercise route first and hopefully it'll make the whole thing more successful if I do go ahead. Can I ask how much yours cost and how you chose where to go?

hi all, yep the excercise did help my recovery, when i went for a pre op appointment, the surgeon said i had a really good muscle tone, i honestly didn't beleive him, because i think deep down i still thought i was fat, although i wasn't i'm a size 10 and had always been. The surgeon said my recovery was really good because i didn't carry any excess weight and i have never smoked(which can cause wound breakdown) i also took arnica and didn't have any bruising whatsoever. I had to take out a loan to cover my operation and i will be paying it back for next 4yrs but i have no other debt so i feel for me it was worth the debt, in total it cost £5499 but there are hospitals who charge £4500

Gulp. Bit more saving to do then Kidstrack - better get crunching in the meantime. Thanks so much for the info, and good for you for going for it.

Oh - and how did you find your surgeon? Was it a recommendation?

Kidstrack · 27/06/2006 15:47

I searched on the net for local private hospitals that done the surgery, low and behold the private hosp 5mins from my home done it, as it was a 4night stay i didn't feel so guilty as the kids were there quite a bit, the hosp group that done mine is Abbey Carick Glen they have many hospitals in Britain

it's not what it used to be, but it's allright for having had two and having such bad oedema i put on shedloads whilst pregnant.

mine had always been a bit protruding - I find I hold it in a lot of the time, but since the c/s this has been harder to do. I can reduce it with exercise and dieting but I don't think it will ever be flat and toned.
