Looking for a new perfume.

I have worn Georgio's Red for about 20 years love it but its very hard to find now, and would like to find a new perfume.

Ive tried quite a few, but they all seem to have waterlily/lily in them and I really dont like the 'after' smell they have.

Give me some ideas please as DH has promised me some for Christmas.

My favourite of all time is Princess by Vera Wang. Gorgeous smell.
Also love Mistress by Jasper Conran.
And I hate to admit it but Fantasy by Britney Spears is lovely!

Tried Stella and didn't really like that either and don't like any of the Jo Malone ones (sigh)

Have you tried looking on Fragantica? It's a massive database with every perfume you could think of on there and it may throw up some good ideas for you to try. You can search by designer or by specific notes such as rose etc. I'd like to make a recommendation but I'm not familiar with the perfume you've mentioned OP so don't know what to base ideas on.

I love Dior Dioressence and Dior L'or Essence de parfum, and Dior Miss Dior Le Parfum (all beautiful...! I esp like Dioressence for Winter).
The Burberry original one is nice and pretty cheap at the perfume shop.
I like the original Stella too.
I like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and to a lesser degree Chance.
I like Guerlain Nahema.
Vivienne Westwood Naughty Alice is pretty. I also like Estee Lauder Sensuous (the original one)
I used to like Gucci Envy but can't find it these days.
I think you are best to write recs down but try for yourself as it's such a personal thing...eg I hate Womanity while someone further up the thread loves it.

Depends what kind of scent your after I suppose! My favourite is YSL Cinema - it's got a gorgeous vanillary smell to it. Quite seductive, probably more of an evening perfume!

If you're into fruity perfumes then there's a couple I like - D&G Li'mperatrice, CK in2u

Chanel perfumes tend to be floral and a bit flirty. (As you can see also on the expensive side)

Hate to admit it but I had a spray of the One Direction perfume a few weeks back and it's lovely!! (shh)

I was looking at the new perfume Si by Giorgio Armani on the weekend and I don't remember seeing Lily/Waterlily as included.

Otherwise based on Red, I think you might like Mitsouko and Shalimar both by Guerlain or Poison by Dior.

Bright Crystal by Versace - It is amazing!! I hate the look of the bottle, but no matter when I smell so yummy.

I love Dior Addict, and the new Marc Jacobs Honey one is delicious!

Now Marc Jacobs perfume bottles I would happily put on display, especially 'Oh, Lola'. I find his latest honey one a bit too cloyingly sweet though.

I love flower bomb by viktor and Rolf eau de mega by viktor and Rolf is also nice too
I also like Gucci flora.
My all time favourites are allure by chanelle (original although sensuelle is nice too) and dolce and gabanna (red box)
