Outfit for a do

I am late forties, bit of a tan, dark hair. Everyone says black is harsh but I love it!

I like to be comfortable and not worry about anything riding up, being too tight, too loose etc

I have a ladies night to go to. Most wear frocks. I am more Morticia than Cinderella!

What do you think of this outfit? French Connection dress in sale. I'm 5'6.

Do bear in mind that this is a budget outfit as I don't want to spend a lot for this occasion. Dress is £31 and I get 20% off the clarks boots. I have a million bags to choose from!

Gone off the snakeskin boots, I prefer the plain black ones.

I've bought the dress. If I don't wear it for the do it will keep for another occasion as it was such a bargain price.
