Stylish knits/wraps/cardigans. Where from?

I don't like anything from Wrap this time around.
Don't want sporty.
Don't want Per Una type things
Don't want frumpy-the sort of territory Toast can veer into. Frumpy and cheap is one thing but frumpy costing arm and a leg is bloody unforgivable.

Have you got an idea what you're looking for? I'm not sure there is a one-stop-shop for all knitwear??

moondog · 20/09/2013 15:19

Hmm. Something stylish, a little bit freeform.
I like the White Company stuff and Wrap usually.

I'm not a big fan of Boden, but the few cardigans I have from there are lovely (two cotton, one cashmere).

I also have a lovely, soft, oatmeal coloured v-neck cotton/angora cardigan from Esprit which goes with everything and makes any outfit look stylish Smile.

For wraps, I have a couple from Kettlewell colours that I wear a lot and are easy to coordinate...

dottyaboutstripes · 20/09/2013 15:54

I've got a couple of that kind of thing from a Jaeger outlet

I'm quite impressed with some of the knitwear that Phase Eight is offering this season, judging by the catalogue. I don't know whether it includes much natural material though (e.g. merino).

mamijacacalys · 20/09/2013 16:36

Brora?
Celtic sheepskin?

FrancesFarmer · 20/09/2013 16:59

Pure Collection with a discount code. Their knitwear is mostly quite sleek and stylish.

Imwoodword · 20/09/2013 20:29

Woolovers? some stuff is awful but there's some lovely bits too. And very reasonably priced!

herecomesthsun · 20/09/2013 20:41

tk maxx for cashmere/angora/merino in jewel colours (worked for me)

moondog · 20/09/2013 20:46

Thank you for suggestions.
I like the pure stuff but I bought some classic things like that from M&S already so looking for something a bit more casual now to wear with jeans and a nice top.
Brora-way too expensive
Kettlewell-hmmmmm
Celtic Sheepskin-yes rather nice
Phase 8-I like their stuff usually but can't say the knitwear grabs me
Never shopped in Esprit but will look.
Yes, someone linked to Woolover before and there is some quite nice stuff in there.

I like a long cardigan but I know a woman with a face like a smacked arse who always wears one (she sort of huddles into it) so that puts me off.

I love collecting cardis, I'm just waiting for thisto arrive.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/09/2013 21:57

Pure is bad quality these days, really disappointing.

Phase eight is all viscose this year, horrifically so.

I want a really nice cardi-coat I can just throw on over whatever I'm wearing. Can't see anything I like.

Someone mentioned Crew on another thread, I might look there.

SundaySimmons · 20/09/2013 21:58

I wore this today. It is from River Island but it looks expensive on.

Nice Fifi and Sunday but I don't know if I can carry off stuff like that.
I never really know what goes with it. Grin

ZumbaZara · 21/09/2013 13:22

I am a fiend for knit wear and like NoaNoa at the moment.
I also recently bought a bamboo lightweight knit from a charity shop it has a beautiful texture and drap.
