cigarette trousers??

I know these are mentioned often and I am still not sure if the trousers I want are called cigarette trousers! I want a pair of cropped trousers that look like mens trousers at the top with pockets and are skinny/narrow towards the leg- am I making myself clear I wonder? I bought a pair in Topshop but left them back as they were really flimsy material and I want to wear them now in the Autumn/Winter with stillettoes and blazer going out, actually a suit would be even better if anyone has seen anything remotely similiar I would be very grateful. Ta.

I haven't got any myself but the Gap slim cropped trousers are well rated on here.

Thanks for the reply...Dont have a Gap near me and I am completely sick of returning nearly everything I buy online! So a real shop will have to do :)

Yes they are the classic cigarette style, slim all the way down but not skinny cut.

Try COS, TOPShop, Jaeger, and &Other Stories. They do need to be tried on I think, more than other pant shapes to get the very precise shape for your body. Every store cuts their proportions differently so if you are long bodied, one stores may not look right. It is a shame you don't do mail order because the OUTNET often have really great pairs from Helmut Lang (master of the cut) on sale.

Try Zara. I bought some like you describe for £35 about 3 weeks ago. It took me a lot of trying on in different stores but these are the best for my shape. Online no good, I'm a size 8 but with chunky thighs urghh.
