Knee high smart boots?

I'm looking for a pair of black knee high smart boots, for wearing with skirts to work. I'd like a fairly delicate heel (but not stiletto), because I think the chunky heels look a bit hefty for wearing with work clothes / skirts, but not very high at all because I'm already 5'8" and don't want to become a giant.

These ones are almost ideal, but they are only wide fit. These are also almost perfect, but I'd like a shorter heel.

I had a lovely pair which fitted the bill, but after years of wear the zip has finally broken. I am a bit clueless when it comes to buying shoes because I only tend to buy new ones when my old ones have actually fallen apart...

Help!

Next do great boots.

These from Gabor? In the sale, too!

I have a pair of similar Gabor boots from years back that I wear for work every winter and they are still going strong.

Although I've just looked a bit closer and they are wide fitting, so probably no good. I might just get a pair for myself, though!

These?

Oooh, they look good! Never thought of looking at Debenham's. And only £75.

I wonder if ones with even shorter heels even exist - my broken boots' heels are the same sort of shape as those Debenham's ones, but only about 3cm high.

Oh, sorry, cross-posted - my "oooh" post was to tethersend - thanks for the new replies - just off to look all the other suggestions.

Rosina - thanks for the suggestions - I do quite like the ones which are wide fit, but I have relatively standard feet and calves (but v good price for Gabor); think the heel on the second ones you linked to might be a bit high.

Peachy - thanks also - have had a bit of a browse on the Next website and the heels seem to be a bit too chunky, or proper high stiletto. Hm. I think I need to get myself into an actual shop so I can stop fretting over heel height!
