I need help tracking a coat down.

I was recently at a horsey event and saw the most gorgeous tweed overcoat. It was just below knee length at the back, but higher at the front in a flared swishy skirt style, but fitted on top and very nipped in at the waist, it was stunning and I want it, but don't know where it's from.

Please, please help me in my quest for country perfection.

Welligogs do a gorgeous wax jacket that sounds a very similar shape, I wonder if they do a tweed version?

The Katrina is the right shape, but the skirt was longer. They don't do it in tweed though.

I can't find anything despite extensive googling. :(

AWimbaWay, that is a beautiful shaped coat.

Many years ago when I was 15/16 and my parents bought my clothes, I fell in love with a navy blue velvet frock coat in Laura Ashley. It was stunning, but my dad deemed it impractical.

I still remember that coat some thirty years later and it was a similar shape to the one you pictured.

I've been googling all night and nothing. Bugger. I knew I should have disturbed judging and asked her.

Could be a vintage item. Country folk keep their clothes for years.

I have this coat which sounds similar to what you describe but it's from Hobbs (bought it the Christmas before last, I think). It is gorgeous (the tweed has lovely flashes of teal) and I love it so much I very rarely wear it!!
