anyone buy from j crew ?

looking on their site and found a couple of tops in the sale section , then notice it says under the sale banner no exchanges , no returns ! that seems a bit odd doesnt it ?
what are the sizes like ?

You can return final sale things, if you're ordering from the uk.
I've done it several times.

I find that their sizes vary sorry!

I find them v generous and tend to go down a size.

Yes I buy from j crew as anni says you can still return final sale items their customer service is great. Sizing. Is quite variable.

I thought I had found the ultimate t-shirt when I spotted J Crew's vintage cotton boatnecks:

I bought 2 separately, initially a pink one, which was perfection (high in the neck and elbow sleeve length), so I quickly ordered one in black. They arrived promptly from the States and were exquisitely packed. I felt they were worth the pricetag. (Oh and I ordered XS, I am usually an XS in Gap, sometimes S, so I'd say J Crew are generous with their sizing.)

EXCEPT, after the first wash, they both totally changed their shape, the fabric became really thin to the point that the black one became almost transparent, and they both stretched so much they just looked silly and cheap.

A similar t-shirt I bought from Boden with a pocket still looks fantastic.

oh no that sounds crap ! did you complain ?

They'll refund you for that problem.
I got a refund when a linen tee shrunk on the first wash.
I sent them an email with a photo of it.

I've ordered loads of t shirts from J Crew and never had a problem with them, really good quality and prices are reasonable if you buy in the sale.
