Help finding a dress for vow renewal.

Can you help me find a dress for our wedding vow renewal?

It is in South Africa in January with 30+ degree heat and elephants I am big of boob (38G) and round of belly (this is on it's way out) but not sure it will all be gone by then, wear a 16 on the bottom and 16/18/20 on the top depending on the capacity for boobs. Quiet ceremony just us, kids and both sets of parents. I would love a long dress and DH is wearing light suit, open collar shirt.

TIA

what colours you thinking? wedding white/cream or ................?

blueberryboybait · 16/09/2013 12:26

I was thinking cream/ivory. We got married at very short notice 1st time round so am hoping for a little elegance and weddingness this time round.

tethersend · 16/09/2013 15:03

Hmm, budget is everything!

another one-shoulder

blueberryboybait · 16/09/2013 15:54

Budget - I have worked and saved hard so no real budget as long as I love it!

No budget?!

Ok, in that case we need some more information...

What sort of sleeve/strap do you want?

Do you want a train?

Lacy or silky?

Any pics of dresses which make you swoon?

nomorebooze · 16/09/2013 20:25

laughed at your post Tether your the lady for the job Grin

blueberryboybait · 16/09/2013 20:47

AAH Tethers

I would like a little cap/short sleeve lacy if possible, no train or just a little puddle train - we are in the bush with elephants so need ot be practical.

this style sleeve

I don't know where to begin Grin

tethersend · 16/09/2013 20:53

Shall we start with reactions to this?

What don't you like about the phase eight one?

headsspinningforachange · 16/09/2013 21:00

this is nice

headsspinningforachange · 16/09/2013 21:02

This is stunning

blueberryboybait · 16/09/2013 21:05

Tether - to slinky/skimming - I have belly issues. I like the lacy on the phase 8 one and the sleeves. Not sure how the body would sit on me.

Head - no to the layery look, I see myself looking like a white cabbage, the other one the waist sits where I have no waist.

if trains too long you can always get a dress maker to shorten it as struggling to see anything with a short train!

No more, that last one is exactly what I think i am after but in an empire line!

I am going to our nearest city next week to have my car serviced so have made an appointment at a bridal/evening wear shop to see if there is anything I fancy/suits me.
