Footwear with bootcuts

OK so obviously bootcuts are not without controversy but they do suit my ridiculously top heavy figure - not just my chest (30FF) but my really broad shoulders, whilst my legs have been described as twiglets and my feet are size 6 with something like an AA width.

Does anyone have any suggestions for footwear with contraband cord bootcuts? Perhaps something which mitigates their potential dagginess? I can't wear really bulky shoes like original docs without looking like a clown and would need about 3 insoles. I don't want anything too high, something with a wedge or low heel would be great. I'm looking for leather. I've tried converse as I like the look and the leather ones are lovely but they felt too big for my feet. I also probably need something smarter as they would be for work (mid manager role). Finally I never wear black footwear!

If you are a bootcut wearer I'd be grateful for links, pics and suggestions! TIA and apologies to the skinny contingent (I do wear these too!)

No idea why people think you can't wear bootcuts, all the most fashionable jean brands do them. I'm currently wearing skinny, bootcut boyfriend & bell bottoms.

You could certainly work a funky 70s vibe to cord bootcuts & boots. Wearing them with a bit of heel lengthens your leg.

Personally I'd wear black boots, but following your preference, you can get Acne Pistols in brown and chestnut

Or wedge boots from £ to £££:

Tory Burch

JB Martin

Marc Ellis

Donna Carolina

Have you looked at good ole Clarks? Most of the boot would be covered by your trousers anyway so something simple that the bootcuts would skim over. these? or these?

Also take a look at the other bootcut thread - lots of advice on there about buying slim bootcuts which flare from below the knee to look more current. Assuming you're not going for [[http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/All-sizes-1970s-NEW-Wide-Purple-Cord-FLARES-60s-70s-Trousers-Corduroy-pants-/121170893851 this] look!

Thanks for the links ladies, much appreciated. I think I was kind of hoping I might get away with flat boots but perhaps that really is criminal...

Great thread as also wondered the same.. Smile

I'm wearing bootcuts (the new style ones which are quite a lot more skinny on the leg) with black biker boots from Clarks. Not sure if it's the done thing style wise but I'm much more comfortable than I was wearing boots outside my jeans like last year!

I think there are loads of nice cowboy and biker style boots around this year that will look great with boot cuts.

I am a 30gg and huge arsed and I love bootcuts :)

I usually wear mine with converse - the leather ones are good for winter, canvas are lovely though.

H and m do some lovely ankle boots with a zip up the side, I'm no good at links but worth a browse on there and cheap!
