Help! Shape wear needed for wedding dress!!!

Hello,
Please please help me find something I can wear under a strapless wedding dress to help suck in my mum tum. I also need to be able to go to the toilet while wearing it. I'm a size 16 and I live in Germany (it's like the land that lingerie forgot here) so need website recommendations please! Need it ASAP to make sure it works under my dress. Wedding is on 2nd November.

Gods of mums net help me please! Oh and stockings! I am very pear shaped (chunky legs :( ) and would like to wear stockings under my dress. I have already warned DP that I will be wearing massive pants :o

So, probably XXL type stockings. Probably hold ups....

Do you have a bra already, or do you need the whole lot?

If so, please go here and measure your boobs according to the fitting advice...that way we can suggest good bras that should fit.

No idea about stockings but Spanx are your friend for shape wear and you can buy online (I got mine online from John Lewis a few years ago). Mine go from mid-thigh to bra strap but there are different styles. Its not the easiest thing to go to the loo in but is possible (it has an 'open' crotch with the idea presumably being that you go commando and then wee through hole but I have never been sufficiently confident about my 'aim' once I've had a couple).

You need the high waisted spanx. They go up to the bra line and have a gusset for toilet ing issues . Bloody brilliant things under dresses.

statistically I have followed your threads before; because bra fitting here is ridiculous they want to put me in a C cup maximum (apparently the biggest size available here is an F!). I have a strapless bra from bravissimo but it come up too high for my dress But about a 36 F/FF seems to fit nicely. So I need something that big, white, strapless and which doesn't come up too high!

Lola Because the dress has a sort of corset bit at the top I think the open crotch spanx is where I'm headed! Thank you!

Also, very important that you felt, and I'm sure looked a million dollars on your special day. m&s have a German website so the choice might be limited but I can get stuff delivered to my brothers address in the UK (poor love he is very good to his big sis!) if I can't get it from the German website.

Thank you all for your fast responses! I was ttrawling through fig leaves and although they have lots of things I realised once I'm strapped into my dress I won't be able to pull massive knickers down so need something a little more special

Spanx are fab and highly effective. I would also strongly recommend the wonderbra ultimate strapless, it's about the lowest strapless and also head and shoulders above the others. There is an ivory version :here for example

statistically what sizes would you recommend ordering? Stick with 36 f/ff or does that bra run big/ small?

Thank you again! I think I'm going to try ringing the spans team and see what they recommend - I don't want to bake myself on the day in top to toe spans but obviously I will need to be able to use the toilet ....

The sizing is off for some people - if you can get it without paying a bomb for postage I'd try 36F/FF and 38E/F.

I have the higher power spanx - these and actually find them pretty comfortable, can easily wear them all day and use the loo!
