Hair or makeup first?

We're off to a wedding shortly and I'm going to treat myself to a trip to the salon on the morning, just toying with what time to book so......

On a big day / night out. Do you do your hair or makeup first?

My hairs is quite thin so I'm thinking maybe makeup, then go to the salon for the hair so the volume lasts a bit longer but would you do it differently?

Hair first then make up for me.

Unless you are just having a dry style done then you can have make up done first.

Smart outfit on, baggy pj top over to keep it clean, make up, pj top off, hair.

I like my make-up to settle slightly, if that makes sense, rather than to look all "I have just put make-up on", whereas I don't mind if my hair looks professionally done. I expect other people feel differently.

Wash and dry hair, then makeup, then bit of a final faff with hair.

Make up first, then hair. I can't put make up on with hair falling onto my face.

I've been told that I may be a bit high maintenance with my routine, but for what it's worth, I put in my Moroccan Oil and Straightening Cream as soon as I get out of the shower. Then most of my makeup goes on (apart from highlighting creme and mascara), then I dry and style my hair, then finish my makeup.

I think the answer may be, do makeup, go to salon for blow dry, touch up makeup before leaving. Sounds like a plan to me Grin

Yes, that's probably easiest Grin
