Help with autumn wardrobe!

So its that time of year again - I'm on a hunt for a warm coat and boots! Only I can never find the perfect ones for me. My usual problems are:

Coat - I need a hood (hair goes very frizzy in wind/rain so I need to put it up quite often) but I find that coats with hoods are often too casual looking for work. I also need it to be knee length so my skirts don't blow up in the wind.

Boots - I would like smart/casual, flat, knee length boots that don't sag at the ankle. Why are these so hard to find!? Maybe my calves are too wide compared to my ankle or something?!

Any help would be most gratefully received! I don't have a huge budget - maybe £200 max total.

George have some lovely smart looking coats in with hoods only around £20 they look nice on their internet ad but unsure of the quality hence the price? Also debenhams never let me down for winter coat. Maybe worth a little look?

Thanks. I've had a look online and they are nice looking coats - the quality, as you say, is what might put me off! I don't have an asda near me to try them on either. Will pop into my local debenhams soon.

I personally am taking a shine to the Burgundy duffle with hood from George. Will see what the quality is like.

Or m&co have similar at £69 but depends what style your after.
