What are we feeling for Autumn nails?

Not sure I can be arsed with nail art and the like, but is there a standout colour for autumn?

Thought Chanel was a pretty good barometer for this kind of thing, but not seeing anything new...

I haven't seen anything particularly unusual so far this autumn, but LOVE Chanel Provocation (deep purplish damson colour). Also want OPI Vant to Bite My Neck (aubergine) and have just bough OPI I saw we saw you saw Warsaw (teal-toned navy, quite unique). Am really in the mood for dark colours after wearing brights all summer!

Teal, navy, slate grey, deep burgundy

Interesting. Perhaps I shall bring back my Rouge Noir, then. Except I accidentally shaved the tip of one of nails off with DH's razor this morning.

yy to Rouge Noir, I resurrected my ancient bottle in the middle of summer this year because I was suddenly sick of bright pink, and forgot how lovely it is.

VenusRising · 11/09/2013 12:00

That's the lovely thing about Chanel, their varnish lasts and lasts.
My rouge noir must be four years old, and still useable.

I like to give my nails a break for September, and just use a cuticle oil.
I had bubblegum pink and coral all summer and fancy a dark look this autumn.

Dark burgundy, navy, and gold

I have been wearing hot pinks recently from OPI when I was having my nails professionally done. However I am now doing my nails done myself and have a big selection of OPI but on a recent trip to Boots, my eyes spied the Mavala range.

mavala was the first ever nail colour range I wore circa 1971! My first nail colour was light navy and it belonged to my mother. I can recall the shade to this day!

Anyway, I bought Rose Shell

And the one I am wearing now, Sapporo

I've just done mine Rouge Noirish dark red for the first time in months. No idea if that's in this season, but dark colours feel wrong in the summer.

FloraFoxley · 11/09/2013 16:51

For me, it's all about deep plums / burgundy / damson/ blacks.

ProjectGainsborough · 11/09/2013 16:57

oooh, Sunday i love the second shade. Been looking for something more cool/nude for everyday.

I have worn OPi almost exclusively for years but was very impressed with the shades Mavala currently have.

At only £4.50 they are fantastic value.

GeekInThePink · 11/09/2013 17:11

Is grey still ok? I like the kind of bluey grey I have

SELondonSwede · 12/09/2013 09:10

I love the autumn colours, grey, deep plum, navy and burgendy. Having mine done on saturday and swapping my current coral shade for a deep burgendy red.
Bring on autumn!

Hazelbrowneyes · 12/09/2013 09:14

I have hot pink on today as I naively thought summer might stick around a bit longer. For the rest of autumn I will wear plum, nude, red, blue, black and I'm going to treat myself to a teal. For halloween I will have orange with black crackle Grin

Opi Berlin done that is a fantastic grey shade. ,in some lights it can have a beige hint, a greige shade!
