To buy or not to buy? Help me decide, please. I'm 49, size 18 and desperately trying not to become middle aged frump but at same time don't want to be muttony. I suffer from arthritis so thought these would be stylish solution for autumn/winter.

I like them, they look cosy.

They do look cosy.
I've got some Ash Virgo's (i'm 40) but they're not the most comfortable trainer type shoes I own.

MeMyElfandI · 10/09/2013 22:18

Thanks Primal. I thought they were a warmer version of my Converse which I have worn to death. Best price I can see on t'internet for them is £95. Pricey so gathering opinions before I take the plunge

My wardrobe sell Ash, don't know if they have those though.

Annianni, I have wanted the Virgos for ages but always left it too late to buy and they were sold out in size and colour I wanted. I'm thinking that the Vannas might be a bit more flexible or softer as lined with sheepskin.

Hoping someone who has some will respond so I can pick their brains,

None on My Wardrobe, shame.

I have them in dark grey they are cosy and comfortable but do make your ankles look a bit chunky as they are quite thick because of sheepskin. To be honest I bought them because I was sick to death of the cold weather last year as an alternative to uggs which I had become heartily fed up with as the only footwear to keep my feet warm so comfort took priority over style. Also have Ash virgins which are stylish but no warmer or more comfortable than converse. Think I paid £90 for the Vannas in Next Directory clearance section. Hope this helps.
