Seen some I like the look of after lots of threads on here. Why do you lot all rave about them so much..
Help me justify an AW purchase even though I am on maternity leave.

Smile I bought some after seeing the recommendations on here, when they were cheap(er) online. They are beautiful. I'm looking forward to wearing them with skinnies when it gets colder- new adventure for me as have always gone for longer boots before. Need to get some suede protector first though!

My Ash Jalouse boots were by best buy last year. I wore them a lot and they still look like new. So comfortable as well.

scarlet76 · 11/09/2013 07:25

I bought Ash Jalouse boots last year when Red had a 40% off discount. I wore them to death and they were definitely my best buy of 2012. There is also enough life left in them for this winter too.

snowlie · 11/09/2013 07:31

I bought them but they didn't fit properly and sent them back...didn't think they stood out from the countless other ankle boots I tried.

cardamomginger · 11/09/2013 08:27

Nice colours, well made, good quality suede, wear well and long lasting. I find they fit well and are comfortable. I think they are worth it (in the sale).

shopafrolic · 11/09/2013 09:21

Definitely buy them when they are on sale. My Ash Jalouse and Spiral boots got more wear than any other boots last AW. They look good with skinny jeans and dresses / skirts. I even wore them with shorts this summer in the evenings. They are well made, and the suede is hardwearing. Provided you spray them regularly they really last. Friends always ask where I got them from and that never happens when I wear other boots / shoes!

Liveinthepresent · 11/09/2013 10:17

Thanks for replies - it is the Jalouse in plum I liked - though like the navy too.
I may give them a try if I can find them on sale. I bought some cheaper short boots last year and they looked shabby quickly.
Now to hunt down a bargain !

Absolutely nothing, I think they're ghastly.

ShoeWhore · 11/09/2013 10:38

Might be worth looking at Office untouchable boots as well OP - I have a pair and they are very similar to the Ash Jalouse from what I can see (but considerably cheaper) They are wearing well so far.

foxysocks · 11/09/2013 10:56

i love them but wouldn't pay FP. my dark grey jalouse were £70 in the sales.

BuggedByJake · 11/09/2013 11:03

Never heard of them so just had a look at their site. 99% of the boots on there are vile.
You could get similar but more tasteful & less expensive from Kurt Kieger.

Grumpywino · 11/09/2013 13:15

I dont understand what is so special about them, they look dull and frumpy to me. Each to their own!

lizzybennet · 11/09/2013 13:18

They make your legs look fab whatever you wear, and go with everything. Quality is excellent.

Twinklestein · 11/09/2013 14:18

So frumpy I agree Wino.

NigellasGuest · 11/09/2013 14:31

I just looked at the Ash website - at first i thought ugh, what's so special.... but having examined the Jalouse up close I think they look good quality, and I'm now wanting a pair in navy...

shopafrolic · 16/09/2013 16:54
