Okay, so fashion icon I am not.

BUT, but, but, but. What is all this pencil skirt and ankle boot thing all about?

It's absolutely bloody ridiculous.

I am astonished that people are going for this. I've seen colleagues going round like this in the office.

A less flattering combination of items is hard to imagine. Even on gorgeous and perfect models it just looks silly.

Has anybody got anything good at all to say about this ghastliness?

I wear those little socks that stop on your ankle when I wear ankle boots

I have no idea why that came up three times.

WowOoo, I didn't quite get that - are you a fashion icon or not then?

Said I would wear that look but not like in the Zara pic. I'd need a heeled ankle boot and a more fitted, shorter pencil skirt (just below knee?). Could be a good autumny look. Also said I'm prepared to be told I have no style though.

God it's just never the same when you have to rewrite a lost post.

when I see images like that I'm so glad Im not particularly stylish, at least I'll just look a bit boring in my photos ten years minutes on, rather than utterly ridiculous.

I'm DEFINITELY not a fashion icon, but I quite like the first look. Second one is bluerrrrrgh though.

We are all agreed we're not keen on the Zara look.

And to think, somebody was paid money to put that together.

It reminds me of when my Mum used to wear my Granny's old boots to work in the snow. They had zips up the front.

The Zara one is terrible, but quite like the first one.

I like the first one and wear that sort of thing a lot, but with tights not bare legs.
