I love my UGGS, so there!

It's my birthday today, I'm 38

We're skint but DH bought me a pair of classic chestnut UGGS which I've not taken off since 7am

Considering selling one of the children so I can buy another pair

I love them. And I think they look good despite the general opinion against UGGS (disclaimer: SAHM, so what I consider to be 'looking good' usually means I've straightened my hair and have a clean top on!)

Im with you. I love my uggs despite the fact they are older than my ds :)

littlemisswise · 10/09/2013 10:59

I do too, and my Celtic sheepskins.

squoosh · 10/09/2013 11:10

I hate your UGGS, so there!

(but am pleased that your lovely DH bought you a present you really wanted)

HoneyDragon · 10/09/2013 11:16

I got these on Sunday for £55, and I love them sooooooo much.

ZaraW · 10/09/2013 11:27

They always remind me of the boots my granny wore in winter with her knee length skirts and American tan tights........

HoneyDragon · 10/09/2013 11:35

My first heel skin boots were my grannies, I used to wear them with a fitted sheepskin coat that was my granny's too. And I looked COOL.

TiredMule · 10/09/2013 11:54

Grin Sibling-I'm glad you said that! I'm going to finally take the plunge and buy some with my birthday money! What's the sizing like? Did you size up at all? I normally wear a 7 (but I'm technically almost a 7.5)

Imwoodword · 10/09/2013 11:58

I have 2 pairs of UGGs and love them both. I said last night to DH I'm excited for the cold weather so I can wear them Blush

chanie44 · 10/09/2013 12:08

I have the Costco shearling boots and I love mine too. I don't wear them when it's raining/wet so they have lasted.

littlemisswise · 10/09/2013 12:12

Where did you get those boots for £55 Honey?

noisytoys · 10/09/2013 12:15

I love my UGG Adirondack boots they are lovely and cosy, but sturdy and waterproof too I live in them from September to March Smile

noisytoys · 10/09/2013 12:16

And I have UGG gloves too they are like cuddles on your hands - can't wait for it to get cold

missmartha · 10/09/2013 12:22

I gave Uggs a wide berth for years but last year I yielded, bought a pair, tried them on, kept them on, had to be wrestled out of them at bed time cos DH wouldn't sleep with a woman in Uggs.

I now have 4 pairs and I love them. I will have cosy toes all winter and a choice of toe warmers.

EeTraceyluv · 10/09/2013 12:22

I love mine too - I got them from a charity shop for £15 two years ago and they are almost falling to pieces but they are sooooooo comfy.

Snowflakepie · 10/09/2013 12:24

I love my Uggs more than any other shoes I have. Very large calves despite being a size 8 otherwise, they are the only boots that fit. Warm, comfy, and they go with all my clothes. I got mine in Oz in 2008 and they've done every winter since, still look great.

And no one notices your feet when the DC are shrieking so I don't care what anyone else thinks about me haha!

KatoPotato · 10/09/2013 12:27

I have two pairs and I love them. I've got chestnut button baileys and a black pair with a big swarovski crystal button.

Nerrr!

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2013 12:35

I've had 4 pairs and worn them to death I currently have short classics in navy and in grey and I heart and soul love love love them they are worth every single penny.

BeginnerSAHM · 10/09/2013 12:41

Does anybody have Ugg kensingtons?? If so, do you like them? Am thinking about buying a children's range pair (much cheaper and only have size 4 feet)....this wet cold weather has made me want something warm, cosy, waterproof and comfy to do the school run/football sidelines/park activities in!

LyonsDemesne · 10/09/2013 12:46

I was a late convertor and only bought a pair when on vacation in Australia.
They are short with zebra print at the back and are gorgeous! I love love love them !

PrimalLass · 10/09/2013 12:49

I live mine. I have classics short ones in chestnut (old, smelly), and also mini Baileys in chestnut (new).

I do have Kensingtons B-SAHM. I like them but they are an absolute nightmare to get on and off. The kids style will be much better as they have a zip. They are not waterproof though, as water gets in around the braided bit between the sole and the leather.

PrimalLass · 10/09/2013 12:50

*love mine, or live in them

HoneyDragon · 10/09/2013 12:57

LittleMiss I am lucky enough to live near an Ugg Outlet. I've coveted the detachable sock ones for ages as they are calf length. I phoned up this weekend to se if they had any in yet. They did and said they were £80.

At that point I dispatched dh to fetch them, when they rang them up they came up £55.00

I am very, very, very lucky Grin

nipersvest · 10/09/2013 13:01

i don't have uggs (as in that brand) but i do have emu's, in navy. they were £30 from tk maxx, but i only wear mine in the house as slippers. would not go out in them.

QueenofClean · 10/09/2013 13:01

I love mine..I have Mocha & Grey ones....keeps my toes very toasty :)

My 8yr old DD loves her Celtic Sheepskin boots too.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 10/09/2013 13:05

I work in an office that is freezing in winter (concrete floors in converted barns) and gave in last winter and brought uggs. I still think that they are fugly but they keep my feet toasty which in turn warms the rest of me up. I go bailey buttons as I have large calves and wasn't sure tall or ones without the gap at the side would fit (im a size 12/14 but run and bike a lot so muscular calves).
I still think they are horrible but am now braving wearing them on the sidelines to watch the boys play rugby and lacrosse and dd playing hockey.
