boots for short legs needed

I'm a bit of a fashion novice so could really do with some advice on boots here.
I've got short wee legs and most of the ankle boots I've tried have just made me look really stumpy. I don't think i want calf length either cos wont that just make me look worse?

I'm 24 so still want something quite 'young' looking, something that will last me a few winters. what sort of price should I be expecting and where do I look?!

I am 5 ft 3. Have long legs for height. I would love some ankle boots! Pref a 2 inch solid heel ie okay for nursery run etc etc . Any thoughts MNtters?

It depends on what you are wearing. My legs look like a gazelles if I am wearing black opaque tights and black medium to high heeled ankle boots as it looks like an extension of my leg. If I wore brown boots with black legs then it would cut my legs off at the top of the boot making them appear shorter. So brown boots are worn with jeans.

As comfortable as wearing flats but they add height and elongate the leg.

Oh good idea about the black boots and black tights, hadn't thought of that!

I wear skinny jeans all the time (bad, I know) so just need something to go with them really. I can't get your link to work for me, might just be my iPad though.

I think if you're short, calf boots work best. They need to almost reach your knee but not quite. For height, a 5 cm chunky heel would be ideal. If you find them please let me know because that's what I'm looking for .
